Гуго Хааса нельзя назвать ни тем, ни другим, ни третьим (было бы бессмысленно, напр., сравнивать его с Эдгаром Улмером). Он был необычным, одержимым человеком: Голливуд любил таких людей, нисколько не мешал их карьере и не только мирился с их существованием, но и, в некоторой степени, поддерживал их.
